Airports In Prague
Prague, Ruzyne (PRG) Airport is located 10km westward from the city centre. Prague International Airport is the public airport for domestic and international air traffic and scheduled and unscheduled air transport. Customs and passport check-in is also provided at the Airport. .
Transportation In Prague Prague has a very good network of public transport. This network consists of Metro, Trams, and Buses.
Trams
Daytime operation is from 04:30 to 00:00. Night Time operation is from 00:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. and is provided by tram numbers 51 to 59 at an interval of 30 minutes. The central transfer-station for nighttime lines is Lazarska stop. Tram schedules are located at individual stops.

Buses
Buses in Prague fill in the spots not covered by trams and the metro and aren't really a useful transport option for most travellers. The only time most visitors to Prague take the bus is to get to the airport in which case you should catch bus 119 which runs between the airport and Dejvicka metro station.

The Funicular
The Funicular onto Petrin Hill operates along the route Újezd - Nebozizek - Petrin. The Funicular operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. (April - September) and from 9 a.m. to 11:20 p.m. (October - March) with traffic intervals from 10 to 15 minutes.

Sightseeing In Prague

The main sightseeing areas of Prague are separated by the Vltava River. On the left bank there is the Prague Castle area and the Lesser Town. The right bank is home to the Old Town, the Jewish Quarter, and the New Town. Spanning the Vltava River and connecting the Old Town and Lesser Town is the beautiful Charles Bridge. Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings line the streets and squares, the most famous of which is Wenceslas Square, scene to some of the most dramatic events in Czech history.

Shopping
Prague is one of the few European cities where the fine art of shopping can still hold genuine surprises. The increased competition and consumer demand have resulted in better selection, prices, and service, making shopping a more enjoyable activity. Good buys are invariably locally produced, so take advantage of the Czech Republic's many garnet mines and watch out for the bright, pinkish quality that characterises the local stones.
